Privacy Policy
Last updated August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PublicFans (the Platform) handles information about you. The Platform is operated by PublicFans Ltd. (the Operator), a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Seychelles, which acts as the data controller and processes data on a cross-border, offshore basis. By using the Platform you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. Data we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a members-only service: account data (your email address and a salted, hashed password), subscription and unlock records, and limited technical data such as an IP address and approximate region used for security and fraud prevention. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
2. What we do not hold
Payments are made in cryptocurrency through independent processors, so the Operator does not collect or store card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses. Creator identity and consent documents are never uploaded to the Platform; the Platform stores only a reference label linking a profile to its offline record.
3. How we use data
Data is used solely to operate the Platform: to authenticate you, control access to unlocked content, record purchases, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, and improve the service. The Operator does not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
4. Cookies
The Platform uses only the essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to secure your session. It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Cross-border processing
Because the Operator is established offshore and serves a global audience, your data may be processed and stored in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, whose data-protection rules may differ from those where you live. By using the Platform you consent to this transfer and processing.
6. Third parties
We share the minimum data necessary with the payment and email providers that deliver the service, and only for that purpose. We may also disclose data where reasonably required to protect the Platform against fraud or to comply with a lawful, binding order in the Operator's jurisdiction.
7. Retention
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet security, anti-fraud, and record-keeping needs. Data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised.
8. Security
We protect data with salted password hashing, signed and expiring media links, and server-side access checks. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to the Operator's legitimate security and record-keeping obligations. Requests can be sent to [email protected].
10. Changes
The Operator may update this Policy by posting a revised version on the Platform. Changes take effect when published.
11. Contact
